Starting a Business Legally

Training for Entrepreneurs

When you start a business, you have to make many decisions in a short period of time that will have long-term consequences:

What legal structure is right for you? What should be included in the co-founder agreement? How should your first customer contracts and terms and conditions be drafted?

My training courses and consulting packages provide founders with the legal knowledge they truly need during this phase—presented in a concise, easy-to-understand, and immediately applicable format.

There are providers who draw up articles of association using a questionnaire and a standardised process – quickly and cost-effectively. There is certainly a place for that. My approach is different: I work with founders who want to understand what they are signing, what risks their decisions entail, and how they can build their business on a solid foundation right from the start. You can buy a document. But you need to develop your own judgement – and that’s where I can help you.

Topics

  •  Choosing a legal form and the basics of company law
  •   Setting up a GmbH: the process, formal requirements and common mistakes, from notarisation and entry in the commercial register to the appointment of directors

  •   Shareholders’ agreement and rules of procedure: what needs to be regulated before you start

  •   Co-founder agreement: shares, responsibilities, exit scenarios
